This ethereal dress was developed using artwork from the 1870s entitled “The Home of the Deer” — a work that perfectly captures the calming majesty of the forest. We deconstructed it to create the panels on the dress, with songbirds and sunshine on the sleeves. The bottom reads, ‘My poems wait in the wild places where my heart wanders’.
